A high school senior develops romantic feelings

she's transgender. The book includes a sexual relationship between the two, addresses homophobia, and hate crime. The book normalizes transgenderism and encourages hormone/puberty blocker usage at an early age. The author also suggests that children as young as three years old, are capable of determining their gender and sexuality. The book uses profanity and slang for while speaking about homosexuality.
