This book seems to normalize harmful drinking, marijuana use, hetero and gay sex, physical harassment and abuse, abortion, self harm and suicide attempt, etc. Characters seem stereotyped. Story revolves around Julia, who searches to understand her sister's death. She has overbearing mother and detached father. A terribly depressing story.
